I’m very happy to provide a review for Kevin Wood.  I’m not one to usually provide reviews as, like many people, I just don’t take the time.  This review is one of those moments that it’s worth the time to share with others what kind of agent Kevin Wood is.  First of all, I never met Kevin until we met at the first house Liz and I viewed.  Kevin was referred to me from Sullivan Bank, which has a branch at Lake of the Ozarks.  I live in St Louis.
Liz (my wife), Kevin and I viewed 6 houses the first day and a dozen houses in two weekends.  All the homes had potential and fit into our criteria on many points.  We made offers on two over a month’s time, but were outbid on both.  Kevin had put in a lot of time to select these homes, arrange the visits for our out of town convenience and travel, and spent plenty of office time and effort on putting together proposals, only to be outbid by other buyers willing to spend way more than we were willing.  Liz and I were taking a great deal of Kevin’s time to fit our schedule and he was always supportive of our needs – whether it was to stop for water or lunch on the long days or explaining certain houses benefits compared to others in the area.  He also pointed out flaws that some homes had that weren’t obvious, which helped us to avoid potential financial pitfalls.  Kevin was very conscientious of us the entire time.  Liz and I were also busy with our work schedules in St Louis and continuing to make road trips to the lake was not convenient, especially on short notice, as we realized we needed to move quicker on houses we liked or we would lose out.  What really sealed the deal for us was Kevin’s willingness to go visit homes for us and use FaceTime while we stayed in St Louis.  Based on what we had seen and what we were looking for, Kevin assured us he knew what type of home we wanted and could find one without us making the trip down unless it was a really good fit.  Kevin found our perfect match and viewed the home room by room using FaceTime and explained every nook and cranny with all the patience necessary.  Knowing this house should be a great match, I rescheduled work and visited the home live the next day.  It was everything Kevin thought we would want.  We made an offer that day and closed a few weeks later.
I also need to mention that Kevin offered referrals for contractors to evaluate improvements I envisioned for homes that needed it.  One of the contractors showed to a house viewing with us to go over possibilities of a remodel, even though we were viewing the home for the first time.  It didn’t work out, but the effort was incredible.  Another contractor came to the house viewing of the home we finally purchased.  He explained how we could turn the home into our dream with a few renovations.  We would never have been able to find a contractor on such short notice with this kind of experience.  This contractor is hired to do our renovation work and is starting in a couple weeks.  Kevin gets full credit for making this happen.  I don’t know many people that would go to these lengths to make sure their clients get everything they need.  Kevin is fantastic!
Thanks Kevin!
